Instagram Bio Ideas by Niche (With 30 Examples)

Ready-to-adapt bio examples for 10 common niches, plus the three-line formula behind every one of them.

Published October 4, 2026

The three-line formula

Almost every bio that turns visitors into followers does three jobs, in this order: say who it is for or what you post, give one reason to believe you, and tell people what to do next. You have 150 characters, so each job gets roughly one short line.

The examples below follow that pattern. Don't copy them word for word — swap in your own specifics. A bio only works when the detail in it is true and particular to you.

  • •Line 1 — Who or what: "Easy weeknight dinners for busy parents"
  • •Line 2 — Proof or personality: "Former restaurant cook · 15-minute recipes"
  • •Line 3 — Next step: "Free meal plan ↓"

Before and after: fixing a weak bio

Before

Mom of 3 💕 | Coffee addict ☕ | Living my best life ✨ | DM for collabs

After

Easy family dinners for picky eaters 🍝 Mom of 3 · Tested on my toughest critics This week's meal plan ↓

Why it works: The original describes a person; the rewrite describes what a follower gets. The family detail is kept, but now as proof that the recipes work for picky kids.

Final checks before you save

  • •It fits in 150 characters including emoji and line breaks — check with the Character Counter.
  • •The name field (separate from the bio) contains the words people search for, such as "Austin Wedding Photographer". Instagram search reads it.
  • •Every claim is true. A number you can't back up costs more trust than it earns.
  • •The link actually leads where the bio says it does.
  • •Revisit it every few months; your bio should describe what you post now, not what you posted last year.
