Privacy Policy

ContentPilot AI (“we”, “our”) is a free toolkit for creators — AI captions, reel scripts, hooks, hashtags, YouTube descriptions, bios, and a headline analyzer. This page explains what we collect, why, and who it's shared with. This is a first draft written to accurately describe what the product actually does today, not generic boilerplate — it will be revised as the product changes.
What we collect
There is no account system and no signup for the free tier — we don't ask for your name, email, or any other personal identifier to use the tools.
- IP address, transiently. Used only to enforce per-IP rate limits (a burst limit and a daily free-generation cap) so the free tier stays usable for everyone. It is not stored long-term — it is held in Redis only for the duration of the relevant limit window (a few minutes to 24 hours), then expires automatically.
- Generation metadata. Each time you generate something, we log which tool was used, which AI provider/model handled it, input/output token counts, estimated cost, and whether the request succeeded. We do not log the actual prompt text you submit or the actual content the AI generates — only these operational metrics, used for cost monitoring and reliability, not to reconstruct what you wrote.
Third-party AI processing
When you generate content, your input is sent to Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic (routed through Vercel's AI Gateway) to produce the output — this is how the tool works. We don't control how these providers process data on their end; review their own policies for details:
- Google Privacy Policy
- OpenAI Privacy Policy
- Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Vercel Privacy Policy (AI Gateway, hosting, analytics)
Avoid submitting sensitive personal information (health details, financial account numbers, government IDs, etc.) in any input field — it isn't needed to use any of these tools.
Advertising & cookies
This site is supported by Google AdSense. AdSense may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve personalised ads. If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any ad script loads at all — you can review or change that choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Outside those regions, the ad script loads without a separate prompt. See Google's advertising policy for how AdSense itself handles data.
Separately, generation requests from a signed-out browser set a strictly necessary cookie (cp_sid) used only to apply fair-use generation limits per browser and prevent abuse — not for tracking, advertising, or analytics. It isn't covered by the ad-consent choice above.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand traffic and page performance. These are privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics products that do not track you individually across sites.
Your choices
- Change your ad-consent choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Since no account exists, there is no profile data to request or delete.
- Questions about this policy: a contact address will be published here once the domain is live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes — for example, if an account system or paid tier is added later. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
